Children's Immunity with Ayurveda

As parents, ensuring the health and well-being of our children is always a top priority. In today’s world, maintaining strong immunity is more important than ever. Ayurveda, a holistic system of health that originated over 5,000 years ago in India, offers time-tested wisdom and natural remedies to support and enhance your child's immune system.

Here are some Ayurvedic tips to help keep your children healthy and resilient:

1. A Nourishing Diet

Ayurveda gives a lot of emphasis towards a healthy, balanced diet. Your food provides nourishment to all tissues so we need to make sure that our children’s breakfast, lunch and dinner and always warm and cooked. 

For breakfast you could provide foods such as Porridge and protein (besan) pancakes instead of cereals and toast. For proteins, try to avoid processed meats.


Wholesome, Balanced Meals:

A balanced diet is the foundation of good health. Ensure your child's meals include a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins. 


Immune-Boosting Foods:

Incorporate foods known for their immune-boosting properties. Turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, garlic, and tulsi (holy basil) are powerful herbs that can be added to meals to strengthen immunity. Fresh fruits and vege like oranges, apples, and berries, grapes and beetroot are rich in vitamins and antioxidants.


Healthy Snacks:

Offer nuts and seeds such as almonds, walnuts, and flaxseeds as snacks. These are packed with essential fatty acids and vitamins that support immune health.


2. Herbal Support

Chyawanprash:
