What it is

A mild gel scrub that polishes the skin without harshness. Designed to refresh texture and clarity while respecting sensitive skin and supporting the skin’s natural moisture balance.

Who it is for

Ideal if you have

• Sensitive to oily skin types
• Teen skin / blemish-prone skin
• Anyone wanting exfoliation without irritation
• Especially supportive for Pitta (Ayurvedic principles)

Why it works

If your skin reacts easily, most scrubs feel like too much. Skin renews itself, but dead cells can cling and build up, and when you’re sensitive, harsh exfoliation can backfire. This gel scrub takes a calmer approach: Aloe Vera keeps polishing comfortable, Amalaki supports brightness, and Manjistha + Lodhra support clarity and an even-looking finish. Walnut Shell gently lifts dull surface build-up so skin feels smoother, not over-scrubbed.

Key Benefits

Made for skin that wants exfoliation - without irritation. With regular use, you may notice:

• Dead skin and surface build-up lift away for a smoother-looking texture
• The look of congestion feels more refined while staying kind to sensitive skin
• Clarity and radiance support with Amalaki + Manjistha
• Skin feels calm, soft, and balanced after rinsing, not tight
• Crafted from natural ingredients, free from harsh chemicals - for peace of mind and skin that feels safe in your routine

Ingredient Spotlight

Amalaki (Amla / Indian Gooseberry) - A cherished Ayurvedic fruit traditionally associated with brightness and vitality. Naturally rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, it’s used to support a fresher-looking tone and that clean, awakened glow - especially when skin looks a little flat or uneven.

Manjistha - One of Ayurveda’s classic “clarity” herbs. Traditionally used when the complexion looks congested or thrown off, it supports a more refined, even-looking finish over time without the harshness that sensitive skin often reacts to.

Aloe Vera - The comfort layer. It helps keep exfoliation feel gentle by soothing and hydrating as you polish, so skin feels calm and balanced after rinsing-not stripped.

How to Use

On damp skin, massage a small amount over face and neck (avoid the eye area) using gentle circular motions. Rinse well and follow with toner + moisturiser.

Start with once a week. If your skin stays calm, increase to 2× weekly. Avoid using on irritated/broken skin or on the same day as strong exfoliating acids/retinoids.

Tip: Use the night before an event to achieve smoother makeup and a brighter finish.

Ingredients

Sesamum indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Hemidesmus indicus (Anantmool) Root Extract, Santalum album (Sandalwood) Extract, Curcuma longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Sariva Extract, Cera alba (Beeswax), Glycine soja (Soy) Lactus, Lakh Extract, Rosa damascena (Rose) Flower Water, Syzygium cumini (Blackberry) Extract.

Key Functional Ingredients

Amalaki - Phyllanthus emblica

Amalaki is one of nature’s richest sources of natural vitamin C, known for its anti-aging qualities as well as being an excellent rejuvenator. Amalaki enhances the function of all bodily systems, making it one of the best herbs for boosting immunity. In Ayurveda, Amalaki has energetics with five tastes (sweet, sour, pungent, bitter and astringent) - all except salty and sour being the most dominant. It has a cold potency, and a sweet post-digestive effect (PDE), with heavy and cool qualities. Amalaki balances all three doshas.

Manjistha / Indian Madder - Rubia cordifolia

Manjistha is bitter, sweet, cooling and pungent. In Sanskrit it means "bright red" and has an affinity for the blood. According to Ayurveda it is a superior blood purifier. Improves the complexion and alleviates skin disease. Known for its use on age (brown) spots. Anti-inflammatory action (Pacifies Kapha/Pitta).

The story behind this

For years, face scrubs have felt like a trade-off. Some were too harsh, leaving skin raw and thirsty. Others were so gentle that they barely changed anything. But in Ayurvedic tradition, exfoliation was never meant to punish the skin or be pointless. It’s simply the art of removing what the skin no longer needs, so radiance can return without depleting the barrier. This is why this formula is built the way it is. Kashmiri Walnut Shell is chosen for its clean, natural polish designed to smooth, not scratch. Saffron is added not as a luxury label, but as a time-honoured botanical associated with glow and clarity.

And the oils and butters aren’t an afterthought; they’re the Ayurda difference: after exfoliation, skin should feel comforted and replenished, not “hungry.”Not harsh. Just the kind of polish that leaves skin silky, balanced, and quietly radiant.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Ayurveda is the ancient healthcare system of India. It is a Sanskrit word - Ayur means 'life' or 'daily living' and Veda means 'science'. Ayurveda then is the name given to the scientific study of life, based on the eternal principle that everyone should live in a healthy & balanced state.

The ingredients used in Ayurda products are 'Wild Crafted' in the Himalayas. A harvesting technique is used where the fruit or plant part is gathered from its natural wild habitat and handpicked according to ancient techniques.

Wild Crafted is usually organic but not certified, normally because there is no certifying agency in the area where it is grown. Wild Crafted herbs are grown wild, without the use of fertilizers or pesticides. They are grown naturally in areas where the plants are native to the region.

Yes. Ayurda products are manufactured in GMP (Goods and Manufacturing Practice) registered companies. This is an internationally recognized standard for quality assurance and ethical production. These established companies (one hundred years old) are leaders in the field of Ayurveda with highly trained Ayurvedic doctors and pharmacologists working hard to produce high quality, result orientated products. We have used Palm kernel oil in some of our products which is sourced from sustainable and ethical plantations. No animal habitat is disturbed or harmed.

Yes. Ayurda products are made in India and the natural ingredients remain stable in any natural environment.

Yes! we understand emulsifiers are needed but we only use the best and the safest. To make a cream or lotion, it is necessary to use an Emulsifier. The best ones are derived from coconut or palm kernel oil. They are safe to work with and are even used in the food industry, often used as emulsifiers in the production of vegan ice creams. Unfortunately for vegans and vegetarians, most commercially used Emulsifiers which are not vegetable based are produced from pig fats, which will be absorbed from these cosmetics. Our palm kernel oils are ethically sourced and come from sustainable or fair trade plantations and no animal habitat has been harmed.

No. We use Areetha, Shikakai and the Indian Soap Nut as natural foaming agents.

Toners are an important part of your skin care regime. They help to balance the skin and also work as a transporter for whatever is applied over the top e.g. your moisturiser will be able to penetrate the superficial layer of the skin and work at a deeper level. Ayurda toners contain natural fragrances of flower and herb extracts that help calm the nerves and induce relaxation. They are easy to use and are applied in a spray mist.

When using products containing essential oils, reactivity is more likely to happen as the essences are concentrated. With Ayurda, there are no extracted essences. Instead the raw herbs are used in the production process so they are not as volatile and the skin absorbs them more gently and less reactively.

Ayurda products contain natural preservatives such as oils, beeswax, carrot seed extract and grapefruit seed extract.

Yes. The range has been developed by Dr.Ajit and Rippan Sandhu. Ayurda is the only Ayurvedic range in Australasia backed by a qualified Ayurvedic Doctor.

The shelf life is 12 months after opening, but can last anywhere up to 24 months.
