What it is

A daily hair cleanser for women whose hair feels dry, tired, brittle, or weakened. It cleanses gently, then gives hair back what modern life often strips away - comfort, strength, and natural lustre.

Who it is for

• Dry, dull, or brittle hair needing nourishment
• Women noticing breakage or increased shedding
• Anyone wanting a premium, sulphate-free cleanser that still cleans well
• Hair that feels rough, frizzy, or lifeless after washing

Why it works

Dry hair is rarely “just dry.” Often it’s hair that’s been over-cleansed, heat-styled, coloured, or simply depleted by stress and routine - leaving the scalp unsettled and the hair shaft unprotected. Sanjivani cleanses with Reetha (a traditional Ayurvedic foaming botanical) and Shikakai, so the scalp feels clean without that stripped, tight finish. Amla, naturally rich in antioxidant compounds and traditionally revered in Ayurveda for hair vitality, supports stronger-feeling strands and less breakage. Bhringraj is used to support root resilience and a healthier-looking shedding rhythm. Rose Water comforts the scalp, and a touch of Coconut Oil helps smooth and protect the hair shaft - so hair feels softer, looks shinier, and behaves with more ease over time.

Key Benefits

Created for hair that feels dry, rough, or “over it” - when you want a cleanser that nourishes while it cleans. With regular use, you may notice:

• Hair feels softer and more hydrated after washing
• Less breakage and fewer “snap” strands when brushing
• Improved smoothness and natural-looking shine
• A scalp that feels clean and comfortable, not tight
• Hair that looks healthier - not coated

Ingredient Spotlight

Amla - One of Ayurveda’s most treasured botanicals for hair. Traditionally used to support hair vitality and strength, Amla is valued because it helps the hair feel more resilient and look naturally glossy - the kind of ingredient that supports long-term improvement rather than a quick cosmetic gloss.

Bhringraj - Often called a cornerstone herb in Ayurvedic hair rituals, Bhringraj is used to support root strength and scalp steadiness. It’s especially loved in routines aimed at reducing the “weakened roots” feeling and supporting hair that wants to feel fuller and stronger over time.

Reetha + Shikakai - The traditional cleansing duo. Reetha provides a natural, satisfying cleanse, while Shikakai is used for gentleness - helping hair feel clean without that squeaky, over-washed finish. Together, they’re the Ayurvedic alternative to harsh detergents: effective, but respectful.

How to Use

Massage into wet hair and scalp until a light lather forms. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if required. Use regularly for best results.

For best results, pair this with a weekly Ayurda Grow & Repair Hair Oil ritual - massage into the scalp, leave for 30–60 minutes (or overnight if you prefer), then wash your hair. It’s the simplest way to support stronger roots and healthier-looking hair over time.

Ingredients

Aqua (Water), Emblica officinalis (Amla) Extract, Acacia concinna (Shikakai) Extract, Sapindus mukorossi (Reetha) Extract, Rosa damascena (Rose) Flower Water, Solanum xanthocarpum (Kantakari) Extract, Eclipta alba (Bhringraj) Extract, Potassium Alum (Swarji Kashar), Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil.

“My hair was so dry it felt like straw. Within a couple of weeks of Sanjivani, it felt softer, looked shinier, and I noticed far less breakage when brushing.”

Key Functional Ingredients

Amalaki - Phyllanthus emblica

Amalaki is one of nature’s richest sources of natural vitamin C, known for its anti-aging qualities as well as being an excellent rejuvenator. Amalaki enhances the function of all bodily systems, making it one of the best herbs for boosting immunity. In Ayurveda, Amalaki has energetics with five tastes (sweet, sour, pungent, bitter and astringent) - all except salty and sour being the most dominant. It has a cold potency, and a sweet post-digestive effect (PDE), with heavy and cool qualities. Amalaki balances all three doshas.

Bhringraj - Eclipta alba

Bhringraj helps to shrink hair follicles and prevents hair loss.

The story behind this

In Ayurveda, hair isn’t treated as a separate “beauty issue.” It’s treated as a reflection of vitality - and the scalp as the foundation everything grows from. When hair starts to feel dry, straw-like, or tired, the answer isn’t harsher cleansing. It’s a return to balance: cleanse in a way that doesn’t disturb the scalp, then replenish the strand so it can hold softness and shine again. Sanjivani was made for that kind of steady care - a daily ritual that leaves hair feeling clean, protected, and more like itself, without chasing loud, temporary results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Ayurveda is the ancient healthcare system of India. It is a Sanskrit word - Ayur means 'life' or 'daily living' and Veda means 'science'. Ayurveda then is the name given to the scientific study of life, based on the eternal principle that everyone should live in a healthy & balanced state.

The ingredients used in Ayurda products are 'Wild Crafted' in the Himalayas. A harvesting technique is used where the fruit or plant part is gathered from its natural wild habitat and handpicked according to ancient techniques.

Wild Crafted is usually organic but not certified, normally because there is no certifying agency in the area where it is grown. Wild Crafted herbs are grown wild, without the use of fertilizers or pesticides. They are grown naturally in areas where the plants are native to the region.

Yes. Ayurda products are manufactured in GMP (Goods and Manufacturing Practice) registered companies. This is an internationally recognized standard for quality assurance and ethical production. These established companies (one hundred years old) are leaders in the field of Ayurveda with highly trained Ayurvedic doctors and pharmacologists working hard to produce high quality, result orientated products. We have used Palm kernel oil in some of our products which is sourced from sustainable and ethical plantations. No animal habitat is disturbed or harmed.

Yes. Ayurda products are made in India and the natural ingredients remain stable in any natural environment.

Yes! we understand emulsifiers are needed but we only use the best and the safest. To make a cream or lotion, it is necessary to use an Emulsifier. The best ones are derived from coconut or palm kernel oil. They are safe to work with and are even used in the food industry, often used as emulsifiers in the production of vegan ice creams. Unfortunately for vegans and vegetarians, most commercially used Emulsifiers which are not vegetable based are produced from pig fats, which will be absorbed from these cosmetics. Our palm kernel oils are ethically sourced and come from sustainable or fair trade plantations and no animal habitat has been harmed.

No. We use Areetha, Shikakai and the Indian Soap Nut as natural foaming agents.

Toners are an important part of your skin care regime. They help to balance the skin and also work as a transporter for whatever is applied over the top e.g. your moisturiser will be able to penetrate the superficial layer of the skin and work at a deeper level. Ayurda toners contain natural fragrances of flower and herb extracts that help calm the nerves and induce relaxation. They are easy to use and are applied in a spray mist.

When using products containing essential oils, reactivity is more likely to happen as the essences are concentrated. With Ayurda, there are no extracted essences. Instead the raw herbs are used in the production process so they are not as volatile and the skin absorbs them more gently and less reactively.

Ayurda products contain natural preservatives such as oils, beeswax, carrot seed extract and grapefruit seed extract.

Yes. The range has been developed by Dr.Ajit and Rippan Sandhu. Ayurda is the only Ayurvedic range in Australasia backed by a qualified Ayurvedic Doctor.
