Why it works

Oily or blemish-prone skin is often pushed into extremes: stripped and tight, or overloaded and congested. This toner takes the smarter middle path. Blackberry and Amalaki provide Vitamin C and antioxidant support for clarity and resilience. Neem and Lodhra help purify and soothe the look of blemishes without irritation, while Rosewater and Lotus add light hydration to restore balance after cleansing. The result? Skin that feels clean and clear - not dry, not shiny, not reactive.

Ingredient Spotlight

Amalaki (Amla / Indian Gooseberry) - One of Ayurveda’s most prized fruits, traditionally valued for strength and clarity. Naturally rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, it supports a brighter-looking tone and resilient-feeling skin over time.

Indian Blackberry (Jamun) - An antioxidant-rich botanical used to support a refined, clear-looking complexion. Helps skin look fresher and more even when pores and congestion are a concern.

Neem - Revered in Ayurveda as a purifier. Supports clear-looking skin and helps keep oil feeling balanced without harsh stripping.

How to Use

After cleansing, spray a fine mist over face and neck and let dry naturally. Use morning and evening. For a cooling effect, store in the fridge and apply with a soaked cotton pad as a refreshing compress.

Ingredients

Syzygium cumini (Indian Blackberry) Extract, Azadirachta indica (Neem) Extract, Rosa damascena (Rose) Water, Phyllanthus emblica (Amalaki/Amla) Fruit Extract, Piper longum (Long Pepper) Extract, Potassium Alum, Acacia arabica (Acacia) Fruit Extract, Symplocos racemosa (Lodhra) Extract, Yashad, Caesalpinia sappan (Patang) Extract, Nelumbo nucifera (Lotus) Flower Extract, Aqua (Himalayan Spring Water).

Key Functional Ingredients

Jamun - Syzygium cumini

Jamun, known by various names including Indian Blackberry and Malabar Plum, has properties which are good for diabetes, blood related problems, is useful in malabsorption syndrome, diarrhoea and improves digestion by improving taste. Malabar plum also has many anti-viral and anti-inflammatory qualities. In Ayurveda, it has energetics which are astringent, sweet and sour, is cold in potency, has a pungent post-digestive effect (PDE), has light and dry qualities, and is best for Kapha and Pitta. Part used: fruit and seed.

Amalaki - Phyllanthus emblica

Amalaki is one of nature’s richest sources of natural vitamin C, known for its anti-aging qualities as well as being an excellent rejuvenator. Amalaki enhances the function of all bodily systems, making it one of the best herbs for boosting immunity. In Ayurveda, Amalaki has energetics with five tastes (sweet, sour, pungent, bitter and astringent) - all except salty and sour being the most dominant. It has a cold potency, and a sweet post-digestive effect (PDE), with heavy and cool qualities. Amalaki balances all three doshas.

The story behind this

In Ayurveda, blemishes rarely come from one thing. Sometimes it’s excess oil - congestion, sluggish pores, skin that feels heavy and easily clogs (Kapha). Sometimes it’s excess heat redness, reactivity, skin that flushes and flares (Pitta). Most people live somewhere in the middle: oily and sensitive, congested and reactive.

This toner was formulated for that middle ground. Blackberry and Amalaki aren’t here to wage war on oil; they nourish clarity, supporting the skin with Vitamin C and antioxidant strength. Neem and Lodhra don’t “attack” blemishes they purify and soothe, reminding the skin it can be clean without being stripped. And Rosewater with Lotus is not an afterthought; they’re the softness that makes balance possible.

This is not a toner that picks a side. It simply helps your skin find its own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Ayurveda is the ancient healthcare system of India. It is a Sanskrit word - Ayur means 'life' or 'daily living' and Veda means 'science'. Ayurveda then is the name given to the scientific study of life, based on the eternal principle that everyone should live in a healthy & balanced state.

The ingredients used in Ayurda products are 'Wild Crafted' in the Himalayas. A harvesting technique is used where the fruit or plant part is gathered from its natural wild habitat and handpicked according to ancient techniques.

Wild Crafted is usually organic but not certified, normally because there is no certifying agency in the area where it is grown. Wild Crafted herbs are grown wild, without the use of fertilizers or pesticides. They are grown naturally in areas where the plants are native to the region.

Yes. Ayurda products are manufactured in GMP (Goods and Manufacturing Practice) registered companies. This is an internationally recognized standard for quality assurance and ethical production. These established companies (one hundred years old) are leaders in the field of Ayurveda with highly trained Ayurvedic doctors and pharmacologists working hard to produce high quality, result orientated products. We have used Palm kernel oil in some of our products which is sourced from sustainable and ethical plantations. No animal habitat is disturbed or harmed.

Yes. Ayurda products are made in India and the natural ingredients remain stable in any natural environment.

Yes! we understand emulsifiers are needed but we only use the best and the safest. To make a cream or lotion, it is necessary to use an Emulsifier. The best ones are derived from coconut or palm kernel oil. They are safe to work with and are even used in the food industry, often used as emulsifiers in the production of vegan ice creams. Unfortunately for vegans and vegetarians, most commercially used Emulsifiers which are not vegetable based are produced from pig fats, which will be absorbed from these cosmetics. Our palm kernel oils are ethically sourced and come from sustainable or fair trade plantations and no animal habitat has been harmed.

No. We use Areetha, Shikakai and the Indian Soap Nut as natural foaming agents.

Toners are an important part of your skin care regime. They help to balance the skin and also work as a transporter for whatever is applied over the top e.g. your moisturiser will be able to penetrate the superficial layer of the skin and work at a deeper level. Ayurda toners contain natural fragrances of flower and herb extracts that help calm the nerves and induce relaxation. They are easy to use and are applied in a spray mist.

When using products containing essential oils, reactivity is more likely to happen as the essences are concentrated. With Ayurda, there are no extracted essences. Instead the raw herbs are used in the production process so they are not as volatile and the skin absorbs them more gently and less reactively.

Ayurda products contain natural preservatives such as oils, beeswax, carrot seed extract and grapefruit seed extract.

Yes. The range has been developed by Dr.Ajit and Rippan Sandhu. Ayurda is the only Ayurvedic range in Australasia backed by a qualified Ayurvedic Doctor.

The shelf life is 12 months after opening, but can last anywhere up to 24 months.
